In love with the Danube Delta since childhood, our story is a classic one.
Arriving 30 years ago as an amateur fisherman in the old fishing village of Dunavățul de Jos, living in the locals' houses and in the wetland huts, I have the feeling that I am living in paradise.
Sharaiman & Nena Art Resort were born from the inspiration of the place and with the advice of architect friends. (Thanks: Stafe and Snejana).
In 2014, we enthusiastically organised the first creative and painting camp, inviting artists with unquestionable talents to illustrate the essence of the Danube Delta through their artistic vision. The handicraft objects gathered from the community, together with the artists‘ works, created an elegant symbiosis between traditional and modern elements, thereby allowing our guests to delight in works of art that exude splendour. I express my profound gratitude to them for their exceptional contributions, which transformed our space into a vibrant and inspirational ambience, decorating our restaurant, conference room and ’chambers’.
Our wish is for every guest to take away with them as many of the flavours of the Danube Delta as possible. We invite you to discover the 3rd place in the world for biodiversity, from a location that preserves tradition, intertwined with the modernism necessary for accommodation conditions.
Exploring this wonderful place can be done using our boats, water bicycles or canoes, having the privilege to discover all the treasures of this fascinating world and to savour every moment in this special atmosphere.
